Jump Right In played at The Brecknock Arms, Bells Yew Green, East Sussex.
We joined forces with Alan Testot-Newick’s Trio + when Neil depped for our own Daevid D’Mello who had a nasty cold. Neil got a call from Alan on Friday to find out if he could dep for Daevid on Friday and Saturday – Neil duly accepted and the race was on to get a set list and bass player together.
Our own Geoff was not free so Kelvin Shrimpton agreed to play. Kelvin is a regular jam night player with Neil, so he knew most of the songs!
So, Jump Right In / Trio + lined up with Neil Rigby (vocals / guitar), Alan Testot-Newick (drums) and Kelvin Shrimpton (bass).
The gig was a very enjoyable one, with our set going down well. We all sat down for a bite to eat in the interval which was delicious!
The Brecknock Arms is a great traditional pub with food and real ales, so worth a visit if you’re in the area, in fact Bells Yew Green is the location of Frant Station, one stop to Tunbridge Wells!
